Privacy policy
What data we collect when you write to us, what we use it for and how you can ask us to delete it.
This is a translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version is the legally binding one.
1. Who processes your data
The controller of the personal data collected through this website is:
- Owner
- Sergi Bover
- Trading name
- Matic Project
- Address
- C/ Armengol 6, 08295 Sant Vicenç de Castellet (Barcelona, Spain)
- info@maticproject.com
- Website
- maticproject.com
- Activity
- Web design and development services, digital content creation and artificial intelligence solutions
2. What data we collect
This website does not collect data automatically for commercial or advertising purposes. We only process personal data in two situations:
a) When you fill in the contact form
- Required: name, email address and the message you write.
- Optional: company or project, phone number and the service you are interested in.
Only what you type is sent. If you would rather not give your phone number or company, leave those fields blank: the form works just the same.
b) When you submit the form, for security reasons
- IP address and the date and time of submission. These are used solely to limit the number of messages that can be sent from a single connection and thereby prevent automated spam.
The record that makes this control possible is stored in encrypted form, in a server folder that is not accessible from the internet, and is deleted automatically after one hour.
3. What we use your data for and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and, where appropriate, send you a proposal. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (article 6.1.a GDPR).
- To protect the website against automated mass submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service running and secure (article 6.1.f GDPR).
We do not use your data to send you advertising, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not build profiles or make automated decisions about you.
4. How long we keep it
- Contact messages: for as long as the conversation lasts and, afterwards, a maximum of one year, in case you get back in touch. After that period they are deleted.
- If we end up working together: the data becomes part of the commercial relationship and is kept for as long as tax and commercial law requires (generally six years).
- Form security records: one hour.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or transfer your data to third parties. The only ones with access to it are the providers we need in order for the website and the email to work, who act as processors and are contractually bound to handle it only according to our instructions:
- Web hosting and email: Hostinger International Ltd. The servers used are located within the European Union.
Beyond these cases, we would only disclose your data if required to do so by a legal obligation or a competent authority.
6. International transfers
We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area. Should it become necessary in the future, it would only be to countries with an adequate level of protection or with the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, and it would be stated in this policy.
7. Third-party services this website loads
To display the brand typeface, this website requests a file from the Fontshare service (Indian Type Foundry). In doing so, your browser communicates your IP address to that service, just as happens when visiting any page. That service installs no cookies and does not identify visitors to this website.
If you would rather remove this external request entirely, the typeface can be hosted on our own server. It is a small change and it does not alter the look of the website.
8. Your rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time, free of charge:
- Access: to know what data of yours we hold.
- Rectification: to correct any data that is inaccurate.
- Erasure: to ask us to delete it.
- Objection: to object to our processing of it.
- Restriction: to ask us to keep it but not use it.
- Portability: to receive it in a commonly used format.
- To withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
To exercise them, simply write to us at info@maticproject.com stating which right you wish to exercise. We will reply within a maximum of one month. We may ask you to prove your identity if we have reasonable doubts about who is making the request.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can contact us first and, in any case, lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid.
10. Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information: restricted access, folders for the records that are not accessible from the internet, and limits on automated submissions. No system is infallible, but we handle your data with the care we would like others to take with ours.
11. Minors
This website and its services are aimed at professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 14. If we detect that we have received data from a minor without their guardians' authorisation, we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the services, the legislation or the way we handle data changes. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
